Carmen is an OLD soul, she died in the 40s at age 22, but I swear she's lived a hundred lifetimes before that. She is wise beyond her years.  We got her from a friend in West Hollywood.  This person sends us some very interesting vessels.  Carmen was found at a prestigious estate sale- an invite-only type of thing.  That's how they do it in the rich parts of town.  Her vessel was mixed in with a lot of old Silver screen memorabilia, and things that this costume designer had collected in his 80 years in Los Angeles.  He must've collected all sorts of things because my friend told me she had spent THOUSANDS on this estate sale, and she really only got about 4 boxes full lof items.  Whoever threw that sale knew what things were worth.  She said Carmen was the least expensive thing there, but had the most radiating energy.  She was immediately drawn to Carmen, and she said she felt as if Carmen was drawn to her as well.  When she sent her to me, she asked me a specific question to find out, and I could never get a straight answer, pardon the pun.  But she HAD to know if Carmen was gay.  She said she felt her radar go off when she touched her, and she felt that they had a mutual attraction.  She HAD to know the truth.  Now, after years of evaluating her and even more years of living with her, I feel like she is definitely gay.  But she is so careful not to tell me directly.  She was murdered, and I think she feels very unsafe because of that night.  I do not know if she will ever be able to say it out loud.  But if your gay-dar works, as mine does, you will know it when you meet her.  I feel terrible for Carmen.  Imagine being so scared for your actual life that you can not feel safe enough to speak freely, even in death.   And she knows she is dead.  She is extremely self-aware.  But it is as if she has had to keep this secret so long, that she is still unprepared to speak her truth.  I do think she would do best with an LGBTQ caregiver.  We have 2 on our team, and they got further with her than I did, but still could not get her to open up in the time they had with her.  Carmen came up from Sonora Mexico when she was 13 years old.  She was going to be a movie star.  She had big dreams.  She had always been very "unconventional".  She worked HARD on her English and thought she looked like Hedy Lemar, and I agree, she DID look like a movie star.  But Hollywood is hard, and it has always been hard.  She got a job as a costume assistant and then moved on to production assistance.  She auditioned but never got the parts.  She worked so hard, but her dream was never realized.  Carmen tells us about her "friends" which we think are the women she had dated.   She says the last "friend" she had was married, and her husband was a psychopath.  He would follow them around town, to all the speakeasies and nightclubs they would go to.  And one night, he broke into her tiny apartment and slit her throat.  It is a gruesome death, with horrid details, and she shares those details very easily through dreams and visions so please be aware of that.  By the time of her death, she had been working nonstop for a decade almost and had done fairly well for herself.  The man who killed her wanted to hurt her beyond just slitting her throat.  He ripped up all of her clothing.  He vandalized her house, he ripped up all of her letters from home and all of the paintings and artwork in her house.  He broke all of her perfume bottles.  I think his rage was fueled by the fact that his wife chose Carmen over him.  He was a violent evil man, and she blocked out the words he said to her, and the names he called her.  She refuses to remember the words and I can't blame her for that.  I imagine going through all of this was terrifying and painful in ways I can never understand.  She was in love.  I could tell as much.  But she would never say it.  She would never admit that she was in love with this woman.  I think she will one day.  With the right caregiver.  She just needs the kind of support she can get from the LGBTQ community, not "just" an ally like myself.  Carmen is extremely active, she has slammed doors and pulled things out of drawers, and she is very curious.  She is wise beyond her years when we talk about anything at all - just not about her own sexual identity.  And we respect that.  Times were very different then.  We hear her singing and we hear what sounds like a tap dance on the floor sometimes.  We get cold and hot spots when communicating with her.  She does well with the PSB7 and the pendulum.  She does OK with the Ouija, but she has said she is scared to reach for the board. She was raised catholic in Mexico, and her mother had warned her about spirit boards.  She doesn't need it though, she is highly telepathic and she is an amazing Dreamweaver.  I KNOW someone out there has the perfect home for her.

ABOUT the doll:  She is paper mache, about 16" tall, She will not come with a doll stand because she can stand up or sit.

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit doll and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the doll is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul. I can reserve a doll for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide. Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!

Please read our Reviews as well as our FAQs. Thank you so much!
