These were sent to us by our friends who belong to a coven in Georgia. They have sent us many magic-infused items in the past, like the magick-cats, and we always love them! This would be perfect as a Best Friend Gift, especially for your witchy friends. The magick that keeps on giving. These rings were blessed in ceremonial ritual and allowed to charge up under the Full Moon in February.

There are only 7 of these rings, five of them are size 7, and two of them are size 8 - Please choose your size when adding to the cart.

This Goddess ring was blessed with Goddess Athena's Energy, who is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law, and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. The rings were chosen because of the spider, and the sapphire. The spider with her wondrous weaving skills is an aspect of Athena, the spinner of Fate, creatrix of destiny. It was believed that the future could thus be read in a spider's web if you knew how to read it. According to First Nations' mythology, Grandmother Spider created the world. So Spider is a multicultural symbol of Creation. This magickal knowing and weaving of the world and destiny are associated with Witches, who also reweave reality.

Blue sapphire is regarded as a stone of mental focus and order, inner vision, and psychic awareness. In chakra theory, sapphire is said to help open the third eye to receive wisdom and insight, as well as the throat chakra, which allows you to communicate that vision to others. In its healing uses, sapphire is sometimes compared to lapis lazuli, as both stones evoke the power of the deeply mysterious blue color. In fact, the mineral referred to in the Bible as sapphire was very likely lapis lazuli. Unlike lapis lazuli, though, the sapphire stone has a brilliance and clarity of depth that seems to extend its illumination down into the soul of anyone who studies it. Associated with deep spirituality and devotion, sapphire is thought to bring peace and contentment to one's soul, as well as trust in the fulfillment of his or her destiny. Because it evokes the energy of loyalty, honesty, and devotion, sapphire is often used in the design of engagement rings and romantic jewelry. Some of the most famous sapphire engagement rings belonged to the late Princess Diana, the actress Penelope Cruz, and supermodel/actress Elizabeth Hurley. Movie star Joan Crawford owned several huge sapphires of 70 carats or larger, and Elizabeth Taylor was given a large sapphire ring by one of her husbands. According to legend, Helen of Troy owned a magnificent star sapphire, and Napoleon gave a seven-piece jewelry set featuring 29 sapphires to his wife Josephine. The beautiful sapphire represents the month of September and is the birthstone of the astrological signs of both Taurus and Virgo. Sapphire is also the birthstone of the Chinese zodiac sign of Tiger and is said to represent the energy of two days of the week—Thursday and Saturday.

For new-age enthusiasts and alternative healers, here are some additional properties attributed to the sapphire:

Protect from negative energy
Attract financial abundance
Promote mental clarity
Evoke the feelings of devotion
Strengthen integrity and intuition
Clear depression
Help eyesight
Bestow wisdom

Goddess Athena, we call to you to join us in our blessed circle. Please, observe and witness this Rite and the spirit in which it is performed. We ask for your blessings in this undertaking. We ask that you bless these sacred rings and the women who will wear them in their daily lives, to share with them your power and wisdom, and guide them in your ways while wearing it, and without it. Bless the wearer of these sacred rings. Know that our hearts are filled with love for you and that we are of your people. We come before you now to renew the ancient bond, to reclaim what aspects of the Old Ways still remain open to us in this place and in this time. Athena, we ask for your blessings this full moon eve. Blessed Be. (ritual performed on 2/19/19)
