Donaciana (doe-nah-chee-ah-nah) is a strange and unique woman if she is even still a human.  She was into some dark stuff in her time.  She was found in Rome, Italy, and sent to us by a friend of Lisa's.  This person told Lisa that Donaciana goes by "Dona" and that we needed to be careful with her because she practices a form of Stregherian Witchcraft that is darkly based on an ancient form of quasi-Catholicism.  The purpose of this was to be able to blend in with the Church and not be burnt at the stake for their magick.  This sounds very similar to how other cultures held onto their own folk magick after the Crusades.  Dona came from a town that had its own *unofficial* witch burnings, due to a corrupt diocese and church leadership.  So the healers and spellcasters there were still very careful about their reputations.  Her village was quite remote and isolated.  Dona practices a form of ancestor reverence through spirits known as Lares.  Lares are like guardian deities from ancient Roman times.  She told us that her vessel works as a channel for these entities. This is why we gave her a skull in her hand because she asked for a statue or something that she could offer to the Lares and the skull seemed to please her.  We learned a new word in dealing with her, during her evaluation - the word is versipellis, meaning werewolf in an old Roman dialect.  The people of her village gave living sacrifices to these creatures, even in modern times.  It may sound as if I am describing a woman who lived hundreds of years ago, but she died in 1912.  These practices were going on then and she claims they still happen.  The werewolf energy is inside of her and we can all definitely feel it.  Dona says that she and her family have always been connected to Goddess Aradia, Goddess of the Witches.  Dona is filled with old knowledge passed down to her by her female elders, and of course, through the Lares.  She is very intelligent.  She is an amazing resource for those who are interested in the oldest Italian (Stregheria) paths.  She knows all there is to know about the secrets of olde Italian cooking and the herbcraft and spellwork that goes into it.  Dona is very powerful in her communications with us.  She is an avid Dreamweaver, even in the daytime, visions and dreamscapes are very intense.  She wants to be heard, so EVPs are loud and clear, even the PSB7 seems to be easy to understand with her at the helm.  We think it's because she knows how to manipulate that kinetic energy.  At times, she receives messages from the Lares and from Goddess Aradia and shares them with us through various methods.  She would be perfect for someone who works with Aradia, or who has thought about it.  As with other Stregherian Witches - she likes to have the tools of her trade available,  She needs a chalice, a mirror, and sometimes a scrying tool.  She may ask for more as she gets to know you.  She requires access to moon rituals so she can honor Aradia.  We get the feeling that she tries to hide her extreme power, so as not to scare us "normal humans".  Her energy is amazing for any practicing witch, and certainly for anyone into Stregheria and ritual moon work.  Dona is so fascinating to learn from, in every area, apothecary, alchemy, ceremonial magick, and of course, her twisted form of ancient dark Catholicism. She uses the Bible in ways that may scare some people.  Dona says that Psalms and certain other books are really just the Grimoires of Aradia and that it should be used as such.  She likes to be placed near esoteric books, ritual candles, tarot cards, and divination tools.  She makes strange requests for Italian unknown herbs.  Experience preferred, but not required.  She loves a baby witch just as much as an experienced practitioner.  She can spend HOURS on the Ouija, and she expects to be listened to and taken seriously.
About the doll: she is a porcelain vessel and she will come with a "straddle" type doll stand.  This doll is not reservable.  First-come-first-served.  Whoever adopts her first, gets her.

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit doll and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the doll is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul. I can reserve a doll for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide. Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!
