Mike was highly offended when we received this.  He has one just like it, but a little different.  He collects faux-weaponry and stuff like this, so he wanted to keep it, to add to his collection.  But after the evaluation, he changed his mind.  Arvind is spooky and can be dangerous and he knows it.  We do not know WHY  he chose this axe.  It's an average, run-of-the-mill, Lord of the Rings-style axe, but Arvind says it is HIS, and HIS ALONE.  We got this one from a guy in Romania that Lisa knows.  He told her that they had been working with an entity in a cave for months and they had brought him many offerings.  The axe was intended on being an offering for the spirit.  But the spirit took the axe as a vessel and the guy who gave it to him says he has regretted that decision ever since.  Arvind calls himself a "lord" meaning he must've been a land-owner at some point in the history of Romania.  We can't tell when he died, exactly, but with a name like Arvind, we suspect it was at least a few hundred years ago, possibly more.  And why was his final resting place inside of a cave instead of in his family plot?  He was exiled.  he was shunned.  He was removed from power.  And he is mad as hell about it.  We had the axe hanging safely on the wall and the whole metal part came crashing down almost killing my husband.  It's not like it's loose, or slippery or anything, it's actually held together really, really well, and yet, as if we had insulted him, the thing came crashing down while Mike walked by.  Granted, we had been discussing him that night, and my husband suggested he was corrupt or did something heinous enough to get removed from power.  We have had things fly by our heads, like cat toys and small objects that we keep on shelves.  We have had people come over and tell us that they feel like "something" is trying to enter their bodies.  My hubby said he felt like some of the dreams we had with Arvind were way too real as if Arvind was actually in our bedroom during our nighttime dream sessions.  I felt differently, I felt like Arvind was keeping me at arm's length or possibly treating me in a very old-fashioned way as if women were not allowed to be involved in the discussion. Which makes sense if he is as old as we think he is.  Arvind has both fascinated and frightened me at the same time.  There is POWER to this axe.  Mike said he would consider building a glass case for it, but I don't think we should keep Arvind.  I personally think Arvind should go to someone with experience in haunted/inhabited items.  He needs to be securely hung on the wall (or placed in a glass case) and talked to when you walk by him, remember, he comes from a time when anyone he met would have to say "your lordship" or something to that effect.  He sees it as a sign of respect.  I also place a gentle touch on the metal when I walk by it, and I get the strong sensation that he sees that as an act of submission to him which is what he expects from women (and men who live on his lands).  Very unusual one here.  Also, he is dangerous because he might be able to enter a body, AND he is strong enough to "throw" the metal from his axe right off the wood handle, despite it being securely glued together.  *interesting, we thought we had put this in the shop PRIOR TO VALENTINES DAY, and it/he has been sitting in the drafts for months, hiding.

About the item:  Arvind is a 28" Lord of the Rings-style Labrys.  It is NOT sharp, as it is a decorative item.  It could still harm someone.  And should be treated with the care and respect one would show a weapon.  Labrys (Greek: λάβρυς, romanized: lábrus) is, according to Plutarch (Quaestiones Graecae 2.302a), the Lydian word for the double-bitted axe. In Greek, it was called πέλεκυς (pélekus).

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the item is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul.  Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!
