Millie is a very ladylike, very well-trained debutante and quite the opposite of today's modern woman. She came to us from Atlanta, Georgia, from her previous caregiver who felt she was a bit high maintenance. I don't think she is. She is a bit mysterious, she doesn't like to give us her family name, or the street she lived on. But I also think she considers us kind of beneath her, and giving away too much information is like sharing secrets with "the help" - she is above all that. I think she just likes to be, HAS to be, the center of attention. And I don't mind it at all. I was going to wait until Valentine's Day to put her in the shop, only because she seems to attract all sorts of attention from the opposite sex, for both herself and her caregiver - but something about her called out to me to put her in the shop today. Millie was 18 when she died. She had been taught from a very young age, how to be a good hostess, a good dinner guest, and a good potential wife. She had no other formal training in any occupation. She was literally being raised for one reason only, to become the wife of a very successful man. And she was all-in. Her entire existence reminds me of one of those weird movies about how women used to only have one shot, they had to be a wife or they would become an old maid. Kinda freaky to see it in action through Millie. But she doesn't mind it, in fact, she was very proud of it. She still is. She thinks today's modern woman is "terrible form" and she would like to see more little girls learning manners, learning how to host parties, and things like that. I tried explaining to her that the world has changed, and women and men have changed, but she doesn't care. She sees things her way and her way only. And that's fine. Millie died of pneumonia, she describes it as a "frozen feeling when breathing". I think it was pertussis or something like that. Sometimes when we are communicating with her, she shares that frozen chest feeling. It can take you by surprise. For some reason, she really doesn't want us to know her father's name, and I think he might be a political person or a VIP of some sort. It definitely feels as if she is trying to protect her family by not answering certain questions that she thinks are "too personal". Millie LOVES to be the center of attention. She loves attention from males, especially. She will attract men both to her vessel and to her caregiver. It's just part of who she is. She really enjoys being admired. She also likes to pay matchmaker when she can. She enjoys things like cups of tea, fresh sprigs of mint, and anything that reminds her of her home. She seems to do well with our pets and she was fine around kids. Remember she is a well-mannered southern debutante, so she does know how to behave. She died a virgin, so she never takes her flirtations too far, she just likes to have all the attention focused on her whenever possible. Millie communicates well with the PSB7 and the pendulum. She uses the Ouija board when we ask her to. She really prefers to speak directly, using telepathy, but she has used every tool we have offered her. We have really had no issues with her, other than she kind of demands attention - if it's been awhile since we talked, she will either move her vessel or move something near her to get our attention. We do not mind. I think she would do well in a home that is going to set aside time for her as often as possible.
About the doll: She is a 1960s stockinette, with a built-in base that replaces the need for a doll stand.

FYI: In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit. This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.
