Mateja is a trippy one.  She really has nothing to do with today's theme of "love magick" except that she can certainly teach you how to use your own skills for that.  She is bossy, opinionated, and very, very head-trippy.  In a good way...somewhat.  Talk about a perfect spirit for helping someone with shadow work, for real.  She will drag you through your trauma and your past and then pick you up and dust you off and then give you some insane magical gift from the otherworld. One of our teammates said she needs to come with a warning label.  And that label would read: "NOT for newbies.  This one is for spiritual practitioners ONLY".  Yep, I agree,  Working with her feels like an involuntary psychedelics expedition.  "someone put mushrooms in my coffee" type of thing.  If you can't imagine what that's like, I'd stay away from her.  She is a Slavic spirit, having made her way here from Bulgaria the year before Lisa left us.  Mateja is pronounced MUH-tay-uh, and her name means "gift from god" and she sure ACTS like it.  She is a very confident woman.  A leader.  Mateja is a Divoženka, very similar to a Samodiva or a Vila spirit, basically a Slavic Forest Spirit.   She reigns over the woods and the trees.  But more importantly, she rules the education of the healers in her lands.  She does that here as well.  She shows us things.  She forces us to work on ourselves so that we may work on others.  She sends us on spiritual quests.  And she rewards us.  Mateja is quite unusual.  She definitely feels like a teacher or a boss.  And yet, she is open and loving enough that we can be ourselves around her.  But she never veers off task.  Her job is to guide us and make us worthy of her presence.  And she does that.  Mateja is a powerfully intelligent spiritual guide.  She LETS US KNOW exactly how she is feeling, and why.  She forces us to get rid of the blocks we have, and turn our minds inward so we may experience the universe BEYOND our 5 senses.  She has a connection with an ancient Lunar Goddess named Bendida.  Goddess Bendida was a fertility goddess as well as a link between humanity and the divine.  There is not much info about her online, but we did find that olives were a good offering for her, and this made Mateja very happy.  We have had so many ethereal light anomalies, colorful orbs, and strange, otherworldly experiences with Mateja, it's very difficult to put into words how special and important she is.  She is an ASTRAL communicator, and not everyone will understand what that means.  She takes us to another realm when we connect with her.  Meditating with her can lead to feelings of actually leaving this house, and even this entire world sometimes.  It is as if she takes us out of body if that makes sense. She shifts realities and takes us to the one she created.  And the dreams are literally out of this world as if we actually leave this world.  She is an incredible Dreamweaver.  She is highly telepathic.  She is able to put her words directly into my mind as I am looking at her.  She has a very distinct accent. Mateja wants us to be the best we can be, whatever that entails.  If we read cards, she will guide us to learn more about reading cards.  If we dowse water, she shows us things relating to dowsing that we can use in our own craft.  She is older and wiser than you could ever know.  We do not think she ever had a "human" form, although the Divoženka are known to be prolific shapeshifters, and tend to come to a human in a form they can understand.  For example, in dreams, she appears to us as a demure peasant midwife, but once we work with her for a while, she shows herself as a more powerful almost royal-looking figure.  She shows us what we need to see.  Mateja commands the respect of even our oldest guardian spirits.  The non-human entities seem to know exactly who she is and give her the respect they know she deserves.  The elementals and other Fae-like entities in the house are drawn to her energies as well.  It is as if she is a VIP spirit in this house, and I am sure she will take the lead in your home as well. Mateja is highly intelligent and cunningly wise.  She expects intelligence and maturity from her caregiver as well.  She is definitely one of a kind.  She is an excellent channel of energy for all types of magickal rituals, healing, and spellwork.  She does great with EVP sessions and using the spirit box/Ouija.  She also likes the pendulum and other methods
