Tabitha is weird, and creepy, and can scare the pants off you, no matter how long you know her.  I have known her for YEARS and she can still give me the creeps.  At first, I thought, well she doesn't mean it, she can't help it when she stares like that, or she can't help it when she feels the need to move around or move things.  But here's the thing.  She can help it.  And she DOES stare at people on purpose.  I think she likes to get a reaction from us.  She is not evil, she just has some extreme mental issues, but once you get to know her, she is actually a sweet person underneath all of her layers.  She is just a normal woman who has had a lot of issues in the past.  She is moody, she is "touched" (as in touched by madness, her words), and she is used to getting her own way.  Tabitha came to us from a friend on the east coast.  She had found the doll in a junk shop and had this "overwhelming urge" to bring her home.  She did that and then proceeded to be terrified of the vessel for the next few weeks.  She finally sent her to us and said she could not take the staring and the "sounds".  We were dying to know what she meant by "sounds" and when Tabitha got to our house, we figured it out real quick.  She shares audio memories telepathically.  So we are HEARING what she was hearing when she was alive.  And her life was terrifying.  She had "mental issues" and was constantly being put into Danvers Hospital.  Her family never believed her when she told them how bad it was there.  The nightmares plagued her.  She screamed inconsolably and often.  They put her back in, and never picked her up again.  Tabitha died in 1962.  If you have never heard of Danvers, let me tell you, Danvers is the worst place to be, and certainly the worst place to die.  Danvers State Institution is said to be haunted by malevolent spirits, even way back before it was closed down in 1992.  It was built atop "bad land" and it has attracted the worst of humankind in the form of psychotic nurses, orderlies, and power-hungry doctors and surgeons.  Danver's aggressive methods of treatment ranged from the use of straight jackets and shock therapy to full-scale lobotomies.  There were hundreds of unreported rapes, mutilations, brain surgeries, and medical torture, and more.  It's no wonder the wards here were later used as the setting for many Hollywood horror movies. Danvers is the stuff of nightmares.  And because it is the stuff of HER nightmares, it is also the stuff of OUR nightmares, but she tries to keep that to a minimum.  She has massive mood swings, we think she was bipolar, back then, she was called "manic".  She has delusions of grandeur, and we play along. If she wants to be Queen Bee, we let her.  Tabitha just wants a safe place where she can be who she wants to be.  She has a slight personality thing going, where she is confident, powerful, and ROYAL and wandering around talking to us, the peasants.  And then there is a scared little girl, hiding, crying, and terrified for her life.  Her mind probably split in order to deal with the trauma of Danvers.  And yes, she can be scary, but usually, she just needs attention, or to know that she has a friend and that nobody is going to hurt her.  She is a traumatized woman who never got the help she really needed because the help wasn't even invented yet.  She needed to be on meds, and they did not exist back then.  The WRONG meds existed back then, and she was sedated quite often.  When she's having a good day, she is fun and funny, and very communicative.  When she is having a bad day, she just broods and stares and pouts and every once in a while, she will throw a fit or two.  Nothing too bad.  Tabitha is highly intuitive and can easily tell what kind of people are here, how they are, and what will happen.  She seems to have a good 6th sense about people.  She likes to be fawned over and spoken to in a gentle manner.  Remember, she was mistreated by everyone who ever knew her. The medical system failed her.  She does really great with light-up balls, the PSB7 spirit box, and the pendulum.  The ouija has worked well with her as well.  Her telepathy is on point for sure.

About the doll: she is a 17" Albert Price Imports Doll.  I have a personal theory that spirits tend to be drawn to Albert Price vessels and I do not know why.  She will NOT come with a doll stand, as she is designed to sit.

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit doll and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the doll is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul. I can reserve a doll for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide. Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!
