This is a Beautiful Mid Century Japanese Moriage Dragonware Incense Burner, also known as a Censer.  It's gold-gilded on the feet and the top.  
Its uses can include but are certainly not limited to, a Buddhist Altar Offering Bowl, Altar Piece Décor, an Incense, or Offering Bowl for certain Spirits.  It's a great Mid Century antique find to go with more DRAGONEWARE
