We got this one from one of my paranormal friends in Los Angeles.  We have gotten quite a few spirits from this friend.  The doll itself was found in a storage container on the Universal movie lot.  My friend does some work at various movie studios sometimes and she comes across a lot of interesting things.  When she saw this doll, she knew we had to have her.  She said she could hear her "bitching" at everyone.  She could "feel the doll being a bitch".  So she grabbed her and brought her home. We could tell the moment she arrived at our house that she was going to be a problem, and she was.  Not that she's a big problem, she's more of an entertaining character than anything else.  But OH BOY you better keep her wine glass filled.  Not even kidding.  She is an alcoholic.  She lives in the land of delusion too.  She was a typical 1950s housewife, living the dream in southern California with her husband, who worked at a bank.  He was in charge of financing movies.  She was not a glamourous Hollywood type and neither was he.  In fact, her hubby hated the Hollywood life.  And he did his best to keep them away from what he considered "immoral".  Everything about the movie business was immoral to him.  The thing that was NOT immoral to him, was his weekly visits to the bathhouse.  Now, we all know what happens in an LA bathhouse, right?  Peggy, whose real name is Margaret, was always busy running the kids around, doing household chores, and going to the doctor.  This woman went to the doctor at least once a week.  The doctor was a true Hollywood creep.  He had pills for everything, and she was on at least one of each.  And she never saw anything wrong with it.  Remember back then, doctors told people cigarettes were healthy for pregnant women and nobody questioned them.  They had pills to wake up, pills to go to sleep, pills for nerves, pills for dreams.  Peggy was on all of them.  But when her hubby got home from work, the kids were clean, her hair was perfect, and her dinner was divine.  They had a perfect life from the outside looking in.  But there was a secret - and Peggy did not know what to do about it.  She knew in the back of her mind what happened ed in the bathhouse, but she could not mentally deal with it.  She knew her husband had a few very close guy friends and she was admittedly jealous of them.  They would call each other daily, and go on boys-only vacations, and she saw them hugging in a close and uncomfortable way.   She had no idea that men could be gay.  It was the 1950s.  She was dependent on the pills.  She needed more and more just to feel normal.  She was drinking more wine to compensate for not feeling normal and things were coming to a bad conclusion.  She doesn't remember exactly how or when she realized it, but she did.  It hit her like a ton of bricks.  Her husband loved MEN.  She remembers driving in the rain and crying, and that's all she remembers.  The crushing realization that her entire life was a lie came crashing down around her.  She can barely speak of it to this day.  Peggy died in the car that night.  She needs another glass of wine and some quaaludes.  She is never going to stop feeling sorry for herself over this.  I have explained to her that this kind of thing was common back then, but nothing helps.  She is extremely active and will show you everything you want to know about her and her so-called perfect life.  She is an avid Dreamweaver, and to me, she is just kind of sad.  I adore her though, and she deserves a good life.  She needs to be with someone who has wine in the house daily though.

About the doll:  She is a 1950s Grocery store Betty Bride doll and she will NOT come with a doll stand.

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit doll and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the doll is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul. I can reserve a doll for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide. Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!
