We got this one from one of my paranormal friends in Los Angeles.  The doll itself was found in a movie prop storage container in the Warner Brothers lot.  My friend does some work there sometimes and they were going to donate a bunch of these things, but she said she could "feel the doll pulling at me".  So she grabbed her and brought her home.  She actually ended up getting her name in a dream and she kept her in her collection for about a year before passing her on to us.  We really wanted to talk to her, we needed to know why she was found on that lot.  Was she an actress?   Was she killed on the WB soundstage lot?  No, but her husband had a lot of ties to the studio.  Alice is a sad and lonely 1950s housewife.  She was addicted to pills and alcohol, and her husband was literally one of the worst men you could ever imagine.  He married her right out of high school when she was 17 and he was 38.  It was the 1950s and her parents knew he had a big Hollywood job and that he would be a good provider.  He was just a pervert.  He was over her within a few years, but he could not afford a divorce.  She can't figure out how she got to where she is now.  She doesn't understand where her life went, where her house went, and what happened to her.  She is somewhat of a head case, but I can totally relate to her.   Alice was kind of delusional, to begin with, so it's understandable why she is so lost and confused now.  She has been through severe trauma and her mind will not allow her to accept it for what it is.  She has been fighting reality for a long time and I doubt anyone will be able to help her see the truth.  Complex PTSD and heartbreak can be like that.  Her husband killed her.  Not straightforwardly, but he asked the doctor for a higher dosage of barbiturates, without telling her, and he purposely upset her to the point where he knew she would take a few pills.  When she did, he then made them both a very strong drink and manipulated her into drinking it.  When she passed out and stopped breathing, he didn't call anyone.  He went out for the evening.  She was dead when he got home.  He never got charged with anything.  After all, he was a studio executive.  And she was just a midwestern girl, barely 21 years old.  She was pregnant when she died.  She often asks for her baby, or what happened to her baby, but she won't listen when we tell her the truth.  She does not want to hear it no matter how gently we break it to her.  She is one of our most active spirits in terms of movements, sounds, and light anomalies.  She has scared the heck out of people.  She doesn't mean to, she scares herself even more.  She is always in the midst of a panic attack.  There is always tension in the air with her.  She has a weird energy most of the time.   I wish I could say that Alice was a super positive, always friendly young woman but that's not the case.  She is absolutely stuck in the past.  She refuses to believe that she is dead.  She refuses to believe that her life is not what it once was.  She gets mad about it sometimes.  It never lasts long, but she can get really upset sometimes.  Scratching, biting ( feeling invisible teeth and saliva on the skin), and a lot of tugging on hair, pinching, and pushing.  She gets MAD that her life is not the same.  She seems to know it is not our fault, but she doesn't know who to blame because, in her mind, it CERTAINLY can not be her husband's fault.   The delusion is so powerful.  I can only imagine that he must've abused her so badly that this is how her mind protected her: with the delusion that he was perfect and her life was perfect.  From what we can tell of her memories, the opposite was true.  Some people, and I know some of these people right now, can not deal with reality so they only see what they want to see, only remember what they want to remember, and so on, and so on.  Unfortunately with Alice, she carried this through her into her afterlife.  Some part of her has to know the truth or she would not have stuck around in this realm.  I feel bad for her.  She is the epitome of the abused mid-century housewife.  I feel terrible for her. Alive is a very big emotional sharer and you have to be strong to deal with her.  She is wildly emotional sometimes, and she shares that with everyone in the house: her happiness makes us all feel happy for however long it lasts (usually not very long) - and her anger, loneliness, sadness, and pain make us ALL feel as if we are living her life.  Experience with this kind of spirit would be helpful.  It can be tough to deal with if you are unable to disassociate from it.  Alice enjoys speaking to us, but not if we try too hard to tell her the truths she can't hear.  She enjoys the energy exchange when we give her attention.  I feel like the more time we spend with her, the better it is for her.  We do try to speak with her on a daily basis, and I would expect her new caregiver to do the same.  Whoever adopts her will really need to put in the work with her, otherwise, she will just be a mess to deal with - scratches, noises, etc.  So that will be important for her next caregiver to know. You need to make friends with her, keep her happy, talk to her, and keep an eye on her so she won't go through these outbursts.  We have had lightbulbs burst, doors and windows blow open, and figurines fly off shelves. Alice loves anything from the early to mid-1950s, especially music.  She needs a very attentive spiritkeeper.  She does well with every communication tool we have offered her.  She is an intense Dreamweaver as well.

About the doll:  She is a 1950s Grocery store doll and she will come with a doll stand.

IMPORTANT - If you look at a spirit doll and feel a tug in your heart, that is how you know the doll is meant for you. You will feel it in your soul. I can reserve a doll for you for up to 2 weeks while you decide. Email me with any questions you have regarding this doll, or haunted dolls in general.

FYI:  In my old shop, we had to have a disclaimer explaining that haunted items were "for entertainment purposes only" and this disclaimer is needed for some credit card processors as well - However, you need to know, as a potential buyer/adopter that I am NOT responsible for any paranormal activity that you might experience in your home once you adopt a spirit.  This is serious and many people who do not know what they are doing have had some pretty overwhelming experiences usually due to their own lack of knowledge or understanding about what it means to be a spirit keeper.  If you are under the age of 18, please do some research before trying to adopt a spirit.  As a seller, I will repeat, there are NO REFUNDS on haunted dolls - I will not guarantee that you will have the same experiences as I have had.  but if you know your stuff, do your research, and are prepared for anything, then you will!
