Catherine is a very special spirit.  She came to us from a woman in Boston who used to send us a ton of these historical spirits.  She has been with us for YEARS, and she can not go home to "just anyone".  You must connect with her.  The woman who sent her to us is a paranormal and historical researcher.  She told us she offered the vessel to the spirit after years of being "hassled" by her, and she took it.  Catherine is a very intelligent entity.  She was an important woman of her time, and even more so in her mind.  The ego on this one is large and well-deserved.  She was a go-getter.  We rarely find a spirit who we can look up and research online, Catherine is one of those.  She WANTS us to learn all about her.  She needs the recognition she misses and the validation that she feels was taken from her.  Catherine Howard (Victoria) Thompson is her full name.  I think her middle name was Victoria, and her maiden name was Howard.  She had spent her entire life building a name for herself as an Astrologist for very important people.  She was well known in the Boston Spiritualist circles.  Her name even reached the NYC circles, and even Los Angeles.  She was a semi-celebrity of her time, but only in certain circles.  She feels like she went very far in life, only to have all of her hard work taken from her later on.  her soul had been stuck in an office in Boston, just seething about her life, until she was offered this vessel.  I have included a portrait of the living Catherine, so you can see how similar this vessel is to her actual person.  Catherine had been into Egyptian Astrology since she was a teenager, and she was WELL KNOWN for it in her circles.  She truly did rise up in society through her Spiritualism and astrology practices.  She was still very young when she began a small newsletter-type magazine called "The Sphinx.  It ran for about 9 years, but she worked hard on growing her name.  She even had a sort of her own "brand" of specialized chart readings called a Speculum, and this is a direct quote from one of her magazine articles: "everyone should possess a Speculum of their life. It shows the good and evil hours of each day, and the fortunate and unfortunate periods, and is invaluable in speculation. Businessmen are helped by a Speculum to take advantage of favorable opportunities or to prepare for possible disasters." Catherine was dead serious about her Astrology and in the later years of her life, had earned a reputation that allowed her to write a column of horoscopes for the Ladies Home journal.  This was a big deal.  Most paid writers were either very wealthy or they were MEN.  She was neither.  But she was working as hard as she could and gaining a name for herself.  Catherine claims, via our own communications, that she was able to weave threads into the other realm.  I know exactly what she means because when we "lift the veil" to communicate with spirits, we have the same feeling as what she described.  She told us that her threadwork had been so solid by the time she died, that she knew she did not have to cross over yet.  She knew she was strong enough to hold the threads even to this day.  And she does.  I am so in awe of this woman.  She reminds me of so many female leaders.  She worked SO hard to get where she was and had haters in every direction.  She kept going.  She was betrayed by a jealous secretary she had hired once, and fired.  That woman had been a "Judas in her heart", she said.  She went on to have an interview where she claimed that Catherine was a fraud and "proved" it by saying she used "cheap charlatan tricks" and the interview almost ruined Catherine's life.  When she died, she vowed to avenge herself.  She vowed to DO something.  But she knew in her heart the damage was done and "revenge was a moot point".  She is an AMAZING communicator.  Catherine is quite the vessel, too.  She HAS to go home with someone who has the same amount of interest and a desire to attain even half the amount of knowledge in Astrology as Catherine has.   She is an amazing muse for any creative person, but more so for Spiritualists, Tarot readers, Astrologists, and even numerologists.  Catherine is a mentor for women who want to pick themselves up and change their status.  She wants people to "want more for themselves" and use knowledge to get it.  We have found so much information on this woman even samples of her handwriting.  We had never planned on letting her go.  EVER.  She has been an integral part of this shop for YEARS.  But it is time.  I feel like if I were to change my path and just do readings and charts, she would be here forever.  but I refuse to do that.  She needs someone who is going to spend their days doing that and asking for her guidance.  She needs that.  Catherine is a very active, very positive force in this house.  YES, she can get a bit full of herself, but I think it's well-deserved.  She reads charts and knows things about planets and whatnot that NOBODY knows.  She is beyond the level of EXPERT, she is a Wisdom.  She is most certainly a creative muse and a wonderful guide and mentor.   She adores cats and dogs.  She likes to use the light-up toys and turn on any music boxes in her vicinity.  She loves the fact that nowadays we have all these "gadgets" that she can use to talk to us.   She communicates well using electronics, like EVPs and the PSB7 spirit box.  She does well with the pendulum too.  And she is a wonderful Dreamweaver.  I truly think she needs to be in a Spiritual home, with someone who will do readings and charts with her.  She is AMAZING with Automatic Writing.  

About the doll:  She will come with a doll stand.  She is a well-made bisque doll with a cloth torso.  She is taller and heavier than she looks.  Her price reflects the amount of time, investigation work and research that has gone into her from the beginning.  She's not cheap, she needs to go the RIGHT home, not on impulse.
