Athalia had been one of Lisa's "special" vessels.  She brought her to Egypt with her when she moved.  I was shocked to see her in the parcel she mailed to me last January.  I thought about keeping her for myself, but I know someone out there needs her more than I do right now.  Athalia is a Greek Tsinganoi (Romany) and she doesn't think the term "gypsy" is offensive, in fact, she is disappointed that people would take that word and turn it into something ugly when she lived it, and respects the word.  She is quite disgusted with our modern lives, and she doesn't understand why we don't know our history better.  I tried explaining to her that we are only taught "certain" history because that is how public school is, and she scoffed in disgust at me.  She thinks public school is a wild idea, and kids are supposed to be taught at home, by their family.  So then I had to explain to her why mothers had to work outside the home otherwise families would starve and she got angry.  As angry as I am about that, to be honest.  Athalia is used to communal living: where the whole extended family worked together to feed, clothe, educate, and entertain one another, all whilst traveling "with the weather" and always trying to rise above the discrimination that they, and nearly all other Romany,  experienced.  The system she grew up with worked, and she wonders why people have strayed from that.  I wonder too, to be honest.  Communal living is my dream.  Athalia gets bored if she is in one place for too long, so she will need to be moved around your house every once in a while.  She has a nomadic heart.  She is extremely clairsentient and if you try to keep something from her, or sugarcoat something, she will know.  She asks a lot of questions, especially in dreams.  So be aware of that.  Athalia died of childbirth complications.  She was 23.  It was her 2nd child.  She told us that one of her descendants is a famous politician, but she never told us WHO it was.  Someone in Greece, most likely.  She is highly active.  She attracts child spirits and baby spirits, probably due to her natural maternal instincts.  We have had her soothe quite a few upset youngster spirits.  We have had all the "expected" types of activity from her, lights flickering, cold/hot spots, etc - but we have also had books, like dream books and tarot guides, pop out of the shelves, turned to pages that she wanted us to see.  We've had runes pop out of nowhere, and our divining rods end up all over the house. Her caregiver must be on the same telepathic plane as she is because she pops out signs, synchronicities, and LOUD mental messages that she expects people to catch immediately.  Athalia is blessed with "supernatural abilities" like the ability to foresee, predict, and ward off bad events.  She was born with these gifts and she has honed them all of her life  We often get smells on the breeze - bonfires, strange herbs, and the smell of weird alcohols.  Athalia knows everything there is to know about herbs and natural healing, about magick teas and reading the stars.  She is highly communicative and she enjoys communicating through telepathy and direct dream sessions.  Athalia is highly intelligent.  She expects intelligence and maturity from her caregiver as well.  She is an excellent channel of energy for all types of magickal rituals, healing, and spellwork. Athalia is exceptionally clear and concise in her communications, and even her EVPs are almost impossibly clear to understand. I feel like she has helped to open our minds in ways that other spirits and other methods have not.  She makes it easy to understand what she wants you to know. We keep Athalia in the front room, next to the divination tools and the spirit board. This is her domain, and when she gets to your home, she will want to be near your tarot cards, ouija board, or whatever you use.  She will want to be placed in various positions: on the shelf one week, and on a dresser the next week.  She likes varying perspectives.  She has a real weird vibes sometimes, but not scary or anything, it just feels like she is tuning into some realm I have never even heard of.  Otherworldly stuff.  You will see what I mean.  Athalia does great with EVP sessions and using the spirit box.  She is a mystic teacher, a spirit guide, and a healer, so if you are not ready to communicate with her and learn from her, then you might not be ready for her.
