Kaarina was sent to us by a friend in Finland, many years ago.  She has been here forever.  Our friend who sent her to us told us she had been conjured under the Northern lights, during a ritual involving the blessings of the Finnish Goddess of the forests, and the hunt, Meilikki.  Kaarina is a "thread-bearer" a connection to the Gods and Goddesses of Finland.  We think she is a Keiju or a Keijungainen. A keiju is a Finnish fairy or sprite that is a small, beautiful, humanoid creature with wings like a butterfly or dragonfly. They are said to live in misty meadows or forest ponds, usually in a parallel world.  They can only come through to this realm via conjure ceremonies.  According to the people of Finland, they are always right here next to us, and we just don't know it. Kaarina is quite special and would be an ideal companion to any magick practitioner interested in Finland's unique pantheon.  The first thing to know is she is a Spirit and Bird Whisperer.  She can talk to the dead better than any other entity.  She uses birds to do so.  Birds are attracted to her like a magnet.  She can "hear" into the realm of the dead, through their songs.  She can bring messages back from dead friends and relatives.  We have had numerous sessions with her, just to find things out from people who have passed.  Our teammate needed to know where her father had put his important papers, and we got that information from Kaarina.  She used a bluebird to reach him.We have had birds come to the window here and I know they are not native or local to this area.  We have had crows and ravens dropping off gifts on the back porch.  Beads, seeds, flowers, pieces of metal, and ribbon.  Kaarina is more than she looks.  When she is in her element and communicating, her energy can fill the house so much we need to open a window or we will feel like we are packed too tightly inside, if that makes sense.  She overtakes us.  Her energy is greater than human energy by far.  She expands the space she is in.  Kaarina's "thread-bearing" feels like electrical currents that reach from her body.  Like invisible wires coming out of her.It is as if she has wild and free-flowing current of electricity that runs through her.  These "threads" reach up to the Gods.  This is how they see and hear what is happening on Earth.  Kaarina says they only have a handful of thread bearers on earth at a time, and it kind of sounds like they are archangels, but different.  They are all connected to Goddess Mieliki. She is a skillful healer who heals the paws of animals who have escaped traps, helps chicks that have fallen from their nests, and treats the wounds of wood grouses after their mating displays. She knows well the healing herbs and will also help humans if they know well enough to ask her for them.  This is important to know, because Kaarina is the thread to reach Mieliki, and she is a very powerful healing goddess.  Because of the influence of Mieliki, Kaarina has a certain depth to her abilities:  her prophecies are always a certainty, not a guess. There are no "what ifs" - whatever she says will come to pass, WILL come to pass.  Kaarina is intense, and that includes the dream weavings and astral messages she grants to us.  She doesn't stand for any negative energy or bad intentions.  She will use intense direct telepathy if she thinks we are not "seeing" or "hearing" her.  She will get frustrated with us and bypass all of our tools and devices go straight to the mind and pop right in there.  Kaarina is also connected by a thread to the Tietäjä.  His name means 'seer', 'wise man', and literally 'knower'.  He is a magically powerful God-like being, whose supernatural powers arise from his great knowledge.  Understanding the weight of her connection to him is quite important.  She can not go home to a baby witch or a newbie, she is worth her weight in gold to certain occultists and practitioners and should be treated as such. She expects to be treated with the level of respect and care one would give to a mystic woman of her magnitude.  Kaarina does very well with throwing bones, runes, and other ancient types of divination methods that are pretty rare to come across in this day and age, like reading blood spills and messages in tree bark.  She loves to show us new ways to read the messages of the universe.  Kaarina is one of the spirits who can keep us engaged for hours, be it with telepathy, dreamscapes, or other means of communication.She is extremely magical, with very elemental, very earthy, nature-based energies.  She feels as if she has a very mystic, very ethereal, otherworldly flow of very ancient magick coming from her hands.  You can FEEL the high vibrational energy of her threads.  When meditating with her, she seems to guide us on some really strange almost psychedelic trails of the aether.  It feels as if she is sharing secrets, leading us, guiding us to learn things.  She enjoys sharing her wisdom with humans, but only if we humans show her the respect she deserves. She is powerful and full of light energy. She communicates using a pendulum, usually but has also used the spirit box and Ouija board.  Telepathy is her main form of communication.  She is not for everybody.  Think twice about adopting her if you are not confident in your spiritual abilities.
