Taralyn is a cutie! She is a 9 year old brat though, but I adore her. She has that too smart for her own good thing going on. She is really smart. She reads at a higher level than most seniors in high school. We got this one from a family in South Carolina who found the doll in their cabin and got creeped out by her. She was "being scary" according to the mom who sent her in. The family was having terrible dreams about a huge house fire and as soon as they sent the doll to me, the night terrors stopped. Taralyn was not trying to scare anyone. She was inside the home she grew up in, and she was trying to reach out. She needs family. She needs a lot of love and care. We know she lost her family in a fire. She also died in that fire, but to her, she has been ALIVE and grieving this fire since the day it happened. She has no idea that she is dead. She ignores any hint that she might be a ghost. She is in serious denial, and that's ok. Taralyn was well-loved. She was the sparkle in both of her parent's eyes. Her little brother loved her, and her older sister adored her. The family was well off and never struggled. Old money. Her grandfather had been a politician of some sort. They did family vacations and lots of large family gatherings with tons of extended family visiting. She had a HUGE family. I think that's why this is so hard for her because she lost so much. The entire family perished in this huge old plantation home in south Carolina. 18 bedrooms, many filled with whole families. One thing you need to know about Taralyn is that she has been dead for a very long time, at least 130 years. But none of that matters because she doesn't believe that she died in that fire. She has been paying close attention to everything that has been happening since and she thinks she is as alive as you or me. She doesn't have that "stuck in the past" type mentality, and mind you, she is only nine years old. she has been paying close attention to everything that has happened because she feels like she is living life right alongside us. This is what trauma does. She wants her family back. We don't have a ton of family, and no little kids who are living. She loves our child spirits but I feel she wants actual living siblings. I feel like she wants ot be part of a big family again so badly. She dreams about the fire and shares those memories with us. It can be scary. The fear, the panic, all of it she shares very easily with her caregiver. I think she would do so good with a large family. Somewhere she can just settle in and continue feeling "alive" for as long as she needs. We have asked her if she has any contact with her parents or siblings or cousins and she said she could not follow them when they walked into the light. we do not know why. She is so lonely. I adore this girl. She loves books and stuffed animals, tiny dolls, and things like that. She is just so sweet. Taralyn is a classic troubled spirit, but all she needs is a loving family and she will be just fine. She is highly active too. Tons of kinetic energy. She bends the light at her own whims. She knocks on doors and touches arms to get our attention. Taralyn is highly telepathic and if she wants your attention she will grab it herself. She is a fun one, and very sweet. I hope she finds a large family to join. She moves her hands a lot and grabs things. Be aware of that.
About the doll: She is a bisque doll, handmade, look at the detail on the lace on her dress! She is amazing. She is meant to sit so she will not come with a doll stand.
