Rajeen Haunted Doll ~ 20" India Rajastan Kathputli Antique Marionette Doll ~ Paranormal ~ Dark ~ Ancient ~ Vetala?

Rajeen is an interesting, but kind of spooky, antique-spirited vessel from Delhi, India.  We suspect that he is a Vetala entity.  Yes, kind of like a vampire, in a sense.  He certainly doesn't feel human emotions or share memories that make any "human" sense.  He is manipulative as hell.  He will have you believing whatever he wants you to think, and if you are not strong in your spiritual forces, he could easily possess you.  So there's that.  Rajeen was sent to Lisa years ago after some friends of hers had come across the doll after a type of exorcism situation in Delhi.  The person who owned the doll had taken on some strange manifestations, like the urge to drink blood and extreme kleptomania.  Both of which could get you killed in India.  Some healers were brought in, and it had been determined that the doll had a "strong possession." They sent it away, and the man was cured within days.  This is the type of stuff I try to avoid in my spiritual practices.  When Lisa sent me a box earlier this year, she sent me Rajeen.  I had already known all about him and never wanted to have him here at all.  She asked me to find him a home, and of course, I will try.  He has made the rounds with my team and has been surprisingly easy to deal with, albeit a bit demanding.  He demands things like turmeric, fresh flowers, fruit, and sesame seeds.  Oh, and he likes to put his sesame seeds in water, so you will need a chalice.  This guy should not go to a baby witch.  He requires an experienced caregiver.  You have to be spiritually strong enough to keep him in his place.  I noticed within my own team, we older folks had few issues with him, but he really pushes the boundaries of the younger folks.  So, be very practiced in your protection magick, and keep one or more statues or figurines of the Hindu deities nearby, he seems to be frightened of them. Even one statue of Kali placed where she can see him, seems to work for keeping his behavior in check.  Vetala spirits like to take advantage of weaknesses, such as ego, inexperience, or weak spiritual practices.  They are master manipulators.  We have dealt with a few of them in the past.  You will not know if you become possessed by one, but your friends and family will.  They are very much like vampires in the flesh, psychic vampires in spirit form. Rajeen is hundreds if not thousands of years old.  Vetala usually arise from Charnel Grounds in India, where bodies were left to decompose above ground. These "Charnel Grounds" were the most terrifying places you could ever imagine, with bodies in various stages of decomposition, carrion, and rodents plucking away at the flesh. In ancient times, these places were sacred but nobody ever wanted to go there.  It is believed that all Vetala spirits arise from Charnel grounds, even though most Charnel grounds are now just cemeteries.  Some people compare the Vetala to Djinn, because of their abilities to grant wishes (always with strings attached) and also their abilities to predict the future. They are insanely manipulative, and it is not advised to have a Vetala spirit in your home if you are not a seasoned initiate of the craft, and have some serious protection magick going on. Another good thing to know about these entities is that they will tell you anything you want to hear, and show you anything you want to see, but they look forward to that moment when you OWE them for that favor.  Rajeen seems to be watching and waiting for ME to slip up and ask him a favor or something like that.  but I know better.  I feel like he is on his best behavior so that he can get into someone's home and take over. I can not stress enough how important it is to not ever OWE him anything.  He's not all bad, though, he is an amazing channel spirit for talking to dead friends and relatives.  He is an old Mystic, one who likes to share energies and open us up for astral practices.  But you just have to be careful.  I hope that the right caregiver exists for him out there because he will eat the weak.  His power is strong, and he does seem to like to watch us when we do certain rituals, especially when we work with the Hindi pantheon.  You can tell he is worried about the Hindu deities.  I think their presence in our home helps to keep his bad behavior in check.  Rajeen is very loud and moves his vessel quite a bit.  He also shares the smells of India, like spices and hot foods.  He communicates with every tool we have given him. He is LOUD AND CLEAR on his demands and he expects offerings whenever you want to communicate. Rajeen feels ANCIENT or timeless.  As if he has been around since the dawn of time.  Rajeen uses a mixture of telepathy, dream messages, and synchronicities, deja vu situations, things like that.  He can reach right into our minds and show us things.  Just be careful with him.  Know your own power and be ready to use it to protect yourself.  

About the doll:  Rajeen is a Puppet from the theatre.  This is from Wikipedia: Kathputli is a string puppet theatre, native to Rajasthan, India, and is the most popular form of Indian puppetry. Being a string marionette, it is controlled by a single string that passes it from the top of the puppet over the puppeteers. Putli means a doll. Kathputli is a puppet that is made entirely from wood. However, it is made out of wood, cotton cloth, and metal wire.
