Dana is a fun one.  She makes me happy.  She makes us laugh a lot.  She is deep.  She talks about existentials a lot.  And we know she used a TON of LSD.  The good stuff.  She has the strangest, deepest, most off-the-wall conversations.  Its like the trip never ended for her.  Dana grew up in Florida but went to college in New York.  She was a philosopher, and wanted to be a reporter.  She really thought she would one day get a job with the Times, or perhaps win a pulitzer prize.  She does a lot of poetry and she is one of our best spirits with automatic writing.  She can communicate really well.  Dana was found at a flea market.  She has a hand-sewn outfit on, definitely made in the 60s or 70s.  She tells us this is not her first vessel, but its her favorite.  She had attached to jewelry once and also to a portrait that her parents had of her.  She was "stuck" to that portrait for a long time before she figured out that it was a "trapping of the mind" and that she really was in constrol of her destiny.  She describes it as " a sudden realization that I could move abiut the building and was not longer bound to that awful painting".  I find her to be one of the most self-aware spirits in that sense.  But she really doesnt understand HOW she died, and its quite obvious to me.  I think she has some denial issiues about her drug use.  She was USING hard drugs, but she has convinced herself that she was just "dabbling in phsychedelics" and I told her straight up that what she had described to me sounded a lot like heavy drug abuse.  She literally did not talk to me for a week and every time I went near her she got ice cold.  THat was a few years ago.  I have never pushed that trigger button ever again.  Dana uses humor to gloss over the horrible parts of her life.  As we all do, I guess.  But things were bad in the last few months of her life.  As with all hard drug abusers, she had found herself in some bad situations, had some scary experiences with strange men.  She had been SA'd a few times.  She was stealing money from her family to get drugs.  But she HATES to talk about that.  She will only share the rough parts of her life, once you know her awhile.  Until then, it will be all sunshine and happiness.  How much fun she had, all the concerts she saw, and all the "enlightening experiences" she had.  Free love, and all that.  Its so weird to think she comes from my mothers generation.  She seems so naive and trusting, compared to my mom, who trusted no one and taught me to question everything.  Dana is a talker, and most the time, she will just pop right in with telepathy, but use the pendulum with her in the beginning, so she can feel who you are and know you.  She is FUNNY, and she loves to make people laugh.  I think its a trauma response.  Another thing to know, is she HATES to talk about her mother and father.  I think there was some sort of abuse in her family.  So be aware of that.  Ask her about her music.  She will give you a list of her favorites.  She is excellent with automatic writing.  The best.  She does well with electronic devices too, like the PSB7 and EVP recordings.
