Eliette came from a witchy vampire-adjacent friend in New Orleans. For those who don't know there are a lot of blood witches in NOLA. She is a friend of Lisa's and has often sent us weird and wonderful vessels she finds. I usually do not like to let go of spirits who have this sort of energy. This kind of wisdom-seeking, question-answering type of life-changing spiritual energy. BUT Everyone knows I believe you "gotta give it away to keep it", and that means I have to let her go to make room for new spirit friends and adventures. It breaks my heart sometimes. Eliette is that kind of woman. You just want to spend every waking hour with her. She comes from a place called Manchac Swamp. Locals call this swamp "Ghost Swamp" and it is said to be haunted by a Creole voodoo priestess named Julie Brown. Stories say she cursed the town of Frenier in 1915, singing odd songs and taking the town with her when she died. On the day she died, a hurricane triggered a 30-foot tidal wave that killed several people in the town, mostly people who attended her funeral. Legend says that those who attended her funeral, were buried in a mass grave in the swamp next to Julie Brown, and they still linger here to this very day. Screams of the hurricane victims have been heard in the area. Interestingly, when we researched this place, there were hundreds of creepy stories about it. Eliette lived and died before Julie Brown's time. She tells of even spookier stories from the area. She tells us about the swamp bodies who would be found drowned and taken to their homes to be buried, only for the bodies to get up and walk out of the house, never to be seen again. "Shapeshifters," she said. She said it was a cursed swamp before her people ever moved there. She tells us about the Loup garou, which is a French word that translates to "werewolf" in English. These Loup Garou were no ordinary werewolves. They could take the shape of any animal, especially crocodiles. She said dried crocodile feet are the most potent ingredient in any spell craft because 9 times out of 10, you've got Loup Garou powder. She shows us some of the most enchanting and terrifying imagery from that place. Trees were known to just swirl around and be sucked under water for no reason. They called it the Devils Drain. She said the weather was so harsh living out there, that most babies died unless they were born in the early spring. Eliette makes herself known whenever we have company, (another reason why I love her) turning the whole room cold and rattling the windows. She is a powerhouse that can not be ignored. Eliette is a larger-than-life spectral presence. She makes her presence KNOWN. She can be loud and uses her energy to slam doors, open drawers, and knock things around. She will do anything and everything she can to get you to listen to her. Eliette is a Swamp Witch and you better show her some respect. She will put you in your place. Eliette will give you all you desire if you show her you deserve it. She is a watcher and a protector. She can be the best spirit guide you will ever know but you need to show her you are worthy of her attention. She is as wise as they come and she doesn't put up with nonsense. She will get mad at you if she thinks you are selling yourself short or taking shit when you shouldn't. She will make you change your mind. She will show you where you are wrong, and you will love and respect her for it. Some of the words she uses are French-Cajun, so it's good to know that in case you have to research anything she tells you. I feel like she has been a big blessing in my life. Eliette would be happiest in a PRACTICING household for sure. She is an amazing spellcaster and a healer. She knows every herbal formula you would ever need. She can fix just about any problem. She likes to be near tarot cards, crystals, and herbs. She is a great resource for obscure spells and cajun rituals. Eliette likes to be included and talked to during the day. She is an amazing Dreamweaver and can help us figure out things in life that seem too much to deal with. She does well with the Ouija board, often using it for hours with us until our arms hurt. She communicates well using every tool we have offered her, but she does especially well with the PSB7 spirit box and the pendulum. Eliette is truly unique and needs to be with a unique spirit keeper as well.
About the doll: Eliette is an Albert Price Vessel, and as many of you long-time followers will know - these vessels were made with the ability to absorb a lot of spiritual energy. For what reason, we do not know, but we suspect it has to do with the factory they were made in. Eliette will not come with a doll stand.
